CRPC-TR98765 March 1998 Title: Progress Report: Parallelization of ADCIRC3D Authors: Mary F. Wheeler, Clint Dawson, Srinivas Chippada, Monica Martinez and Victor Parr Submitted September 1998; Available as CEWES MSRC Technical Report 98-11 Abstract: ADCIRC (Advanced Circulation Model) is a finite element shallow water hydrodynamic flow simulator, based on methodology developed by Gray et al over a number of years. We have recently developed a parallel version of this model, using a data/domain decomposition approach. In this paper, we describe the parallelization of the code, the development of pre and postprocessors for splitting the data, and the use of a space-filling curve algorithm for mesh partitioning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mary F.
