Down and Out Traveltime Computation Project

CRPC Line

Developers:
William W. Symes

Abstract:
This code produces first-arrival time fields in seismic-style models of a refractive medium. It uses an upwind finite difference scheme to solve the eikonal equation. In comparison to ray tracers, it is both much faster and more robust. In comparison to Vidale's earlier scheme of the same type, it is faster by virtue of being fully vectorizable.
